Bucharest Guided Tour
About the event
Bucharest has a queer history that rarely makes it into guidebooks. As part of LGBT History Month in Romania, we invite you on a walk through the streets where it happened: the places where people met, loved and resisted, the stories that were silenced, and the people who shaped LGBTQ+ life in this city long before it could be lived openly.
Led by Adrian Newell Păun (Arhiva Queer Adrian Newell Păun) and Vlad Viski (MozaiQ), the tour brings together archival research, personal stories and the city itself, to show how much of our history is still written into Bucharest’s streets, if you know where to look.
The tour is held in English, so it’s a great chance to bring along international friends, colleagues or anyone curious about the city’s hidden history.

About the venue
MozaiQ is a Bucharest LGBTQ+ community organisation set up in 2015. Its work focuses on groups that get less attention in Romanian LGBTQ+ activism: trans people, Roma LGBTQ+ people, people living with HIV and older community members…
