As part of Kosovel Year, the Lavrič Library will host the Kosovel Home Sežana on Tuesday, September 8, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. With this event, we aim to bring Kosovel's greatness closer again and at the same time draw attention to the possibilities of cultural engagement beyond the borders of our local community.
Kosovel Year 2026 will offer a series of interesting events and diverse interpretations of Srečko Kosovel by the end of the year, concluding with a concert by the Men's Choir Srečko Kosovel from Ajdovščina at the Kosovel Home Sežana at the end of December.
The visit will be an opportunity to present some of the programs of the Kosovel Home, including the guided urban literary walk "In Step with Kosovel" and the renovated Kosovel Homestead, which invite a slightly different encounter with the poet and the Karst region. Kosovel is one of those poets whose words have not been dulled by time. His poetry remains restless, sensitive, sometimes prophetic – and surprisingly close to today's reader.
It's beautiful in the Karst, and Sežana is nearby!
