About this place The Ring

The Ring is a members-only gay venue in Madrid, designed for specific tastes in nightlife.

You’ll find it in the city’s established LGBTQ+ area. It’s an adult-focused place with themed rooms and interactive zones, not a casual bar.

Entry requires a membership. A day pass costs €10, or you can get a weekly pass for €20. This makes it pretty easy for tourists to check out, not just locals.

Madrid has plenty of gay venues, from low-key bars to big clubs. The Ring is a niche within that scene, with several distinct areas meant for exploring. You move between rooms, each with its own vibe, getting a different experience as the night goes on.

Before you go, remember the membership fee. Check their website for events or special requirements, like a dress code. This isn’t for everyone, but if you’re looking for a particular kind of adult-oriented gay nightlife in Madrid, it’s worth a look.

May 2026 Things change. Aside from the charming staff at the box office and the cleanliness of the place, a year later I have to revise my verdict: the people were much more sociable, and thankfully, they were human beings with a bit of a belly, not the cold, artificial clones of last year with beards and gym bodies. The night was great. May 2025 First of all, I must mention the friendliness of the staff: the guy at the entrance was wonderful and charming. The waiters were friendly and very attentive. The place was clean and spotless. Lastly: I was disappointed and surprised by the people who were there this past Friday. It seemed that, in general, the attendees didn't really know what to do in their daily lives. They lacked basic principles. They looked very lost.

This place was worse than the reviews suggested. The check-in process is excessive, the security is intrusive and borders on harassment. The place is dirty and isn't cleaned overnight. I've never been watched while undressing upon entering a gay bar before; it was a very unpleasant experience overall. Furthermore, upon leaving, you realize it's located in a very unsafe neighborhood in Madrid.

Very interesting people and a very spacious place. It's best to go on Fridays when it's usually busier. The only downside is having to fill out the form, although if you become a member you just need to hand over your card and you're all set.
