Visitors praise the hotel's unbeatable central location, unique novelty of staying on a boat, and excellent breakfast. However, many found the cabins to be very small and basic, with some experiencing cold temperatures and misleading room descriptions.

Great location right in the heart of Stockholm. Parking directly in front of the ship. I was here 11 years ago; it's a bit run-down since then and needs some renovation. Breakfast and food were okay.

The highlight of our visit to Mälardrottningen was undoubtedly the unique setting. Dining aboard a historic ship with stunning views over the water and Stockholm's skyline creates a memorable atmosphere that is hard to beat. Unfortunately, several aspects of the experience fell short of expectations. The chairs were quite uncomfortable for a longer dinner, and after some time we found ourselves experiencing back discomfort. For a restaurant where guests are expected to sit and enjoy a leisurely meal, this is something that could definitely be improved. We started with the Gambas Aioli, which was disappointing. The dish felt very basic and lacked flavor. The shrimp were served unpeeled in hot oil, making them somewhat inconvenient to eat and difficult to fully enjoy. The main courses were generous in portion size, which was appreciated, but they were not particularly memorable in terms of taste or presentation. The food was decent, but nothing stood out as exceptional or worth returning for on its own. Overall, Mälardrottningen offers a fantastic location, beautiful views, and a unique dining environment. However, the food and seating comfort did not quite match the quality of the setting. A pleasant experience for the atmosphere, but there is room for improvement when it comes to the dining experience itself.

We were very happy with our room with bunk beds. The breakfast was plentiful and very good, and the staff was friendly and competent. We felt very comfortable!

How can it be that, at this price, which isn't cheap, the shower drains the wrong way and floods the small toilet that serves as both shower and toilet? When you ask for a solution at reception, they give you a large towel to prop up the door to prevent overflowing. It's a disgrace.
