About this place Alter Ego

This two-floor gay club sits right in Manchester's gay district, steps from Canal Street, and gives you a good night out no matter what you want to hear.

One floor is for cheesy pop, the kind you sing along to, the other for indie classics and whatever's on the radio now. You and your friends can just move between them, depending on the mood.

They do a regular Poptastic night on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Those are good nights to go if you want to see what the place is really about. It's easy to find, part of that whole scene around Canal Street.

If you're in Manchester and looking for a reliable night out, this place has the energy you'd expect from an LGBTQ+ club. It’s right there, always doing something.
