About the event

Show inspired by a Broadway hit toured different regions of the DF and promoted actions to democratize access to culture After passing through SESC Gama and Espaço Cultural Renato Russo, the musical “Amor em Pedaços” comes to the end of its 2026 season this Friday (11/09), with two performances at Complexo Cultural de Samambaia, at 2:30 pm and 8:00 pm. The session marks the end of a tour that brought music, theater, and stories of affection to different audiences in the Federal District. Freely inspired by the renowned Broadway musical Waitress, “Amor em Pedaços” presents a Brazilian adaptation that combines humor, sensitivity, and music to tell a story about friendship, new beginnings, and the search for autonomy. In the plot, Jenna finds in cooking and baking a space for comfort in the face of her personal life challenges. Alongside her friends Becky and Dora, she discovers that new paths can also be built from the bonds, affections, and relationships we cultivate. Produced with resources from the Federal District Culture Support Fund (FAC-DF), the show was first adapted in 2024 and returns in 2026 with a new cast and soundtrack translated by award-winning adapter Rafael Oliveira. The production preserves the essence of the original work but bets on an approach connected to the reality and sensitivity of the Brazilian audience.
