Hotel Kelowna & Conference Centre

I had mixed feelings about this stay. The room itself has clearly been renovated and looks modern, clean, and comfortable. Unfortunately, the positives were overshadowed by several issues that affected our experience, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars. The biggest problem was that neither my partner nor I had any hot water. That’s a basic expectation at any hotel, and it was frustrating not being able to shower properly. We also discovered that Netflix wasn’t working, the room phone was out of service, and the desk power outlet didn’t work. When we asked the front desk, we were told the phone and Netflix were currently unavailable because of the ongoing renovations. While I understand renovations can cause temporary disruptions, guests should be made aware of this before they arrive so they know what to expect. We were also disappointed to find the pool was closed during our stay. Between the lack of hot water and several unavailable amenities, the experience didn’t provide the value we expected. I can see the hotel is investing in improvements, and the renovated room is a step in the right direction. However, updating the rooms isn’t enough if essential services and advertised amenities aren’t available. I hope the renovations are completed soon because the property has potential, but based on this visit, there’s still significant room for improvement.

This is a Doubletree by Hilton with recently renovated clean and quiet rooms but because of renovations, there was no pool, no fitness room, no restaurant/breakfast available. There is plenty of services/restaurants nearby however within walking distance. The rooms have plank flooring, the beds and linens are comfortable, the towels are thick, the curtains blackout the room, there is fridge, microwave and coffee maker, no safe, no iron/board. We stayed 3 nights and the garbage was emptied daily as well as the towels changed daily, but no making of bed nor removal of our dirty coffee cup (not disposable). There is no magnifying mirror in the bathroom but plenty of mirrors in the room in general. Good stay and I would stay again.

None of the amenities they list online are available. And based on the reviews I’ve read haven’t been for years. No pool, no spa, no gym, no room service or kitchen of any kind. The room wasn’t cleaned very well (visibly unclean at check in)… honestly this used to be a crappy little roadside hotel that someone is trying to turn into a Hilton, and they’ve yet to see it through.

Clean rooms and comfortable beds in a relatively new, well-maintained building. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I only wish the renovation had been completed so I could have fully enjoyed all the facilities.

Omg after having a rough experience at another hotel the same day, Mike at the front counter made the experience above and beyond! From the cleanliness of the hotel to the great customer service! If you have the pleasure of being helped by Mike, it’ll be the cherry on top to your vacation stay. Will for sure stay here again!

Best experience I've had in any hotel in my life. Thank you to Mike at the front counter, he was very humble, welcoming and reassuring. Our hotel room was very clean and perfect. Definitely recommending anyone on vacation to stay at this hotel. Excellent staff and service

1st time book this place. Good experience. Staff is so friendly. Comfortable bed, clean room, quiet place. Perfect location. Highly recommend. Will stay again for sure.
