A real oasis in the heart of downtown.
They outdoor heated pool is the best part of the hotel! Highly recommended!
My wife and I have been taken regular trips to Montreal for years and have stayed in, primarily, the same hotel each time but after finding it unavailable for this trip; we had landed at the Bonaventure and I think we've found our new downtown perma-spot. Hotel Bonaventure gives you what you would expect; an incredible and lively vibe, a well kept environment and plenty of amenities to make your stay a great one. Once the poolside bar opens up, the fun escalates and you'll easily find yourself in a small community with the other guests. The rooftop pool might be the highlight and while you aren't awarded much of a skyline view, the gorgeous trees and vegetation more than make up for it. And, you can't go wrong with a rooftop stream walking path with ducks to see. I'm not certain how suited the hotel environment might be for those traveling with small children as there is, very much, a party-atmosphere in the pool area and the hotel is built in such a way that the rooms encompass the pool area, making it difficult to escape the noise.
It's a classic and an amazing historical building
Very strange hotel located in an old concrete building without an elevator. The rooms are nice and big, clean and well equipped. There are a lot of young people drinking and shouting at night, it was hard to sleep. Very nice small pool, beautiful vegetable garden.
