The Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler

My family and I stayed here for my father in laws 70th birthday celebration in Whistler, B.C. The service, professionalism, and sheer passion that the employees have for their roles exudes through. A special thank you to Shelby and Richard at the front desk for making our stay exceptional--from taking pictures of my twins and I in the lobby, to providing late night room service, to suggesting all the "must-sees" while in town-- a huge THANK YOU! Rohan checked us in and couldn't have been more accommodating. I actually got emotional with his generosity. From there, it just got better. I've been a Marriott client for over 30 years and this was by far my best experience. The upgraded room to a studio, with pool and mountain view from balcony, was very much appreciated. Every staff interaction was friendly, polite and warm. Of course, the location and the architecture is absolutely stunning.

Lovely facility in the main attractions of Whistler. Conveniently located from activities, attractions, food, and dining.

An amazing experience and great customer service. Gemma at the front reception desk was amazing and so delightful and even sent a beautiful treat to our room. The pool was amazing and the building was quiet.

Amazing pet-friendly hotel. This was my first time visit with Westinn and I already booked more. Their breakfast is fantastic - fresh omelet very tasty and the service is great. All staff were great. Room is very spacious, the kitchenette has everything you could possibly need, super comfy bed, and the mountain view is amazing. Conveniently located and the parking has EV charger. Everything was great.

The workers were very rude, and just terrible service in general, had bed bugs

Overpriced - In serious need of renovation - Insecure. I have stayed at this property on many occasions over the past 20 years, I don't even want to calculate the total spend between personal and business (conference speaking), but it is significant. I travel a fair bit - Marriott Ambassador for 15+ years, 1,800 nights in total, I have some solid travel experience. Here is my recent experience with this property: The Good - Location, this is one of the best locations in Whistler, easy walk to the Whistler Gondola, restaurants and shops. It is one of two Marriott properties in the area. In the past my stays have been good, occasional upgrades making a rebooking a no-brainer. The Delta is a little further walk, but a better option now. Here is why: The Bad - The hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. Restaurants (Grill and Vine is Good) and some common areas have been updated, but in general the rooms are run down. Check out these pictures of the bathroom. You are seeing that right, no grout between tiles, mold, cracks in the tiles and parts of the shower door falling off. There are carpet nails protruding and stabbing your toes when you walk, stains on the carpets, lots of wear and tear on pretty much everything. The pool and hot tubs are way too small for the number of guests that access. The Ugly - Unfortunately, I had a couple of items stolen from my room this trip. This is a rarity, out of the 1,800 nights in Marriott properties I have had a grand total of 2 stays where my possessions went missing, and this last trip in March 2026 was one of them. I generally feel safe and secure at their properties, but this last trip was obviously insecure given the experience. The hotel has not been cooperative whatsoever, which is even more disappointing given the frequency of my stays over the years, and spend at the property. When the rate for a weeklong stay is well into 5 figures at this time of year, it is completely overpriced for what you get. You don't fee like a valued, loyal guest. Take home - If you absolutely need to stay at a Marriott property to stay brand-loyal, go for the Delta. If you are looking for a better guest experience, nicer rooms, and maybe even less likelihood of getting items stolen from you room, stay at one of the other options - Pan Pacific, Fairmont, Four Seasons etc.

I like the entire staff member’s customer treating, specially Joe and the rooms are cleaned. Lastly, I enjoyed the stay.
