Many visitors praise the restaurant for its delicious comfort food, particularly the fried chicken and mac and cheese, with some also enjoying the drinks and friendly staff. However, common complaints include the new location's cold atmosphere and loud echoing, and some dishes like the corn, mac and cheese, and chicken fried steak receiving negative feedback despite the high prices.

They moved inside the joint boutique hotel. Lived the decoration, prices and food! So good!

The fried chicken was good but corn dish and mac and cheese were just plain bad. Manhattan was marginal at best. Location leaves a lot to be desired. Happy to pay these very expensive prices but I do expect better food. Also, would be nice if they stock an extra couple pieces of prime rib when they offer it. I didn’t have a reservation and none was available. Food for thought.

This was my first time at the new location, and what a great experience! I love all that 'comfort food.' Especially the mac+cheese (which I had to get an order to go). But do you know how hard it is to find tater tots? They were perfect. I have tried the lemonade at so many places. This is my favorite. Plus the room was kept cool and comfortable. Gina is SO friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

I had a group of friends (and friends of friends) and I needed a place that was low key for all of us to meet and greet over a shared meal. We had the Fiesta Dinner and it was delicious. The fried chicken was so tender and the outside so crispy. We had plenty of sides and people ordered extra Mac and Cheeses to go. Our gluten free friends also had special fried chicken so everyone left happy. Drinks are cheap too.

Went for the brunch. It seemed a bit chaotic. Service was slow but pleasant. Food was good as always. For me personally, I found the atmosphere at the new location very cold and the layout a bit odd. The echoing was so loud you couldn’t hear the people at your table talking. I guess some might prefer the aesthetic, but I thought the old location had more character and felt more “homey” - and indicative of the expected southern charm.
