Wicked Queer: Boston LGBTQ+ Film Festival
About This Event
Wicked Queer is Boston's LGBTQ+ film festival. It has run since 1984, which makes it one of the oldest in the US. The Queer Film Institute presents it.
Screenings take place at partner cinemas in Boston and Cambridge over about two weeks in April. The 2026 venues included the Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square, the Museum of Fine Arts, Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline and Somerville Theatre in Davis Square. All of them are on or close to the T. The festival's FilmFreeway page says 2026 showed more than 130 films in 40 programmes, a mix of features, documentaries and shorts packages. Tickets are sold for each programme.
The 42nd festival ran 3 to 16 April 2026. The organiser's site lists 2 to 11 April 2027 for the next edition.
