Consistently the slowest and most disinterested bar service in Chicago. There's nothing like waiting 10 minutes to get service at an empty bar with the bartender playing with their phone idling behind the bar.

First time here, cocktails were fantastic, staff was fine - but the music was obscenely loud for the size and style of the place. We're talking yelling to be heard by a person a foot from you, yelling to be heard by the bartender, leaves your ears ringing kind of volume. I feel like an old woman typing this, but sincerely it was so loud you can't think.

Brought friends from the burbs here before dinner as it’s right in my hood (go to Pauline’s - next door - all the time and it was on my Must Go list) and has great reviews for their cocktails. We had two cocktails each and on the way out, I stopped to give the bartender a compliment on his absolutely PERFECT French martinis. Sadly, he replied with an incredibly rude comment about me being straight. While our server and the other patrons were lovely and seemingly inclusive of three straight women, the fact that the bartender felt comfortable enough to basically tell me I was in the wrong place was so many things to me. While I posted a review with just stars immediately following our visit in December of 2024, I added this commentary today as I saw the review while adding a new one for a store. So, that bartender may no longer be there. But, I will never go there again.

Loved this place. Patio seating, tucked on the quieter side of the neighborhood. Excellent cocktails, great service.
