Nashville Pride
About This Event
Nashville Pride has been going since 1988, and organizers bill it as Tennessee's largest LGBTQ+ event, which matters in a state whose legislature has spent recent years passing anti-trans and anti-drag bills. It is a parade on Broadway in the morning and a ticketed festival at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, below the Capitol.
The 2026 edition was one Saturday, 27 June: parade at 10am from Broadway and 8th Avenue, festival from 11am to 8pm with more than 240 vendors, over 50 drag performances and Fancy Hagood headlining with Michelle Branch and Joy Oladokun. Smaller events ran around it, including a kick-off at the Virgin Hotel and a Sunday pool party.
It almost didn't happen. In 2025 corporate sponsorship fell by about $270,000, roughly 40%, with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nissan, Cracker Barrel, Dollar General and Jack Daniel's pulling out, most in the last month before the festival. Storms on festival day cut attendance further. The organizers called it an unprecedented financial crisis and raised money through a #SaveNashvillePride campaign and a benefit concert.
There is no verified headcount: local TV reported more than 100,000 expected in 2024. Late June in Nashville is hot and humid, so plan for heat and afternoon storms. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
