Two of us stayed here on a weekend in June. The thing to know is that the air conditioner is extremely loud, along the lines of a faulty jet engine. It started up with a loud whine and rattle when I walked in, and it stayed consistently very loud while it was on. So loud that sleep was impossible, and it generally was like a hole was being drilled in my head. I have amazing noise canceling headphones and the sound was loud even with them on. I’ve stayed at many hotels and I’ve never heard anything like it. When it started, I called the front desk to ask if it was normal, and the person (who’d clearly been asked this many times before) apologized and told me they all sounded like that and that they are “old units”. The person I was staying with came in while I was out and they asked me about what was going on as soon as I returned. They thought it must be broken. We agreed that it was better to be hot at night than to use it at all. I’ve attached a video where you can hear the thing starting up and running. It turns off and spins up again every few minutes, so you can just imagine hearing that all night. If not for this, just about everything else would have been perfectly fine. The people at the front desk were nice. The free breakfast had what you would expect, and the dining staff were totally on it in replenishing food and cleaning up. They were all very friendly too. The workout room was windowless but it was otherwise nice, with good treadmills. Parking was easy. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet when the A/C wasn’t on. It was well stocked with towels. The lighting was good. It was overall quite clean, though a mildly gross thing was that there was either dirt or mold on the shower curtain (photo attached). This review would have been 4 or 5 stars if not for the A/C noise. I am sure it’s quite expensive to upgrade the air conditioner in every room, but they absolutely need to do that. Until they do, I would strongly recommend staying away during any season where it could possibly turn on at all.

Overall, a good stay! Pros: Spacious king room with plenty of room. Nice view from the 7th floor and a clean, modern room. Had plenty of storage and no problem with any noise as the A/C fan made pleasant white noise that is adjustable. The staff were always friendly. Breakfast was better than I had read in prior reviews. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, bagels, etc. Very solid! Cons: First and foremost, the bathroom door. When designing a bathroom door, it should not just be some perfunctory physical barrier to prevent the direct, unobstructed view of the person in the bathroom, but should provide privacy of total sights and sounds. The frosted-glass sliding barn doors provide only slight visual privacy (a light on in the bathroom gives a silhouette of the person in there) but gives virtually no sound privacy. Let's face it, if you are alone, no door is really necessary in a hotel bathroom. However, if you are traveling with others, a modicum of privacy is needed and that glass door provides only a minor step above an open door. It looks good, but I ask: What is the thinking on this? To look stylish? How about a real door (cheaper BTW) or even nice wood pocket door, coupled with a bathroom exhaust fan? The next Con would be the "bar" which is right next to the reception with four stools. The young woman working the front desk reception had to play the role of "bartender" but clearly had zero experience in the craft. I asked for a martini, for which they had the supplies, but that was a bridge too far in terms of a request. The design of the hotel prohibits anything really to be done about this and it was more comical than annoying, but if you are interested in a "bar" experience in a nice hotel, go elsewhere. Overall experience 4/5 stars. I'd come back but only if traveling alone!

Great location near the mall. Lots of restaurants close by and plenty of parking. We even brought our dog! Hot breakfast buffet in the morning.
