NYC launch of Another Anthem of Fabulous Survival

Like a jukebox of queer history, T.S. Leonard’s debut poetry collection, Another Anthem of Fabulous Survival, unfolds across decades of sound and geographies. Winner of the 2024-2025 Poetic Justice Institute Prize, Leonard’s poems ask how memory becomes record and how record becomes song. Musical duo DAYS joins Leonard and a coterie of poets—including charles theonia, Joshua Garcia, and David Groff—to celebrate the New York launch of his debut poetry collection at Manhattan’s queer bookstore.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase and the authors will be around for a signing after the event. 
T.S. Leonard is a poet, performer, and educator whose work has been featured in Poetry, Foglifter, and Fourteen Poems and in collaborative projects at the Portland Art Museum and Pacific Design Center. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, he lives and teaches in San Francisco. 
charles theonia is a poet from Brooklyn. They are the author of Gay Heaven Is a Dance Floor but I Can't Relax (Archway Editions), If a Piece Falls off the Poem, Keep It (Belladonna*), and other writings on zits, piss, and disco.
Joshua Garcia is the author of Pentimento (Black Lawrence Press, 2024), a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award and the Thom Gunn Award. His poems have appeared in Ecotone, The Georgia Review, Passages North, Ploughshares, and elsewhere.
