About this place Bossanova

Bossanova is a major gay venue in Portland spread across two distinct levels, each offering its own atmosphere and experience. The Ballroom Level features an impressive 11,000 square foot main space anchored by a stage that overlooks a spacious 2,000 square foot dance floor, all set beneath soaring 20-foot ceilings. This grand layout creates an energetic environment ideal for dancing and entertainment. For those seeking something more relaxed, the Jameson Black Barrel Social Club on the Balcony Level provides a more intimate setting with vintage game room amenities and lounge seating, plus its own stage for performances. As an established LGBTQ+ venue, Bossanova caters to Portland's gay community and visitors looking to experience the local scene. The two-level design means you can easily move between high-energy dancing and more laid-back socializing depending on your mood. The venue's scale and distinct spaces make it well-suited for everything from casual nights out to larger events and celebrations. Located on Southeast 7th Avenue, it's accessible in Portland's central areas. Whether you're interested in the main dance floor experience or prefer the vintage charm and games of the upstairs lounge, the venue offers flexibility in how you spend your evening. It's a solid choice for LGBTQ+ travellers looking to connect with Portland's gay nightlife scene.

Had a great time, the comedians were quite funny and even better after getting high during the intermission.

They really tried charging me $35 and it wasn't even an all day event.
