Poor communication from the outset. I sent a message asking if they could clarify a couple of small details relating to the area and mentioned that i would be checking out a day earlier (not asking for a refund) as i had booked an extra day by mistake. 2 months later i received a reply. Arrival - Directions clear enough but there is no sign at all for the property, no person to meet you on arrival, the only person i saw other than the odd other guest here and there was a cleaner. Room - Absolutely disgusting and had the option been available to go somewhere else i would have done. Pictures show the current state of the room i stayed in. Taken within 5 minutes of me walking into the room. The mattress was turned upside down, the pictures are when i flipped it back the right way. Location - The only plus point about the "hotel" a good selection of food places and the bus stop was right outside the door. Deposit - A $100 deposit was requested the day before arrival and to be fair it was promptly returned afterwards, although I wonder what "damage" i could have done before they kept it. 100% would not stay again and Stefano wanted to be mentioned so there you go you've got a mention. I have no idea who you are and i'm pretty certain i didn't see you at any point.

Stefano and the Mitchie House team were very accommodating. It was stylish, clean, and quiet. You can't beat the location for a thriving ambiance, with eateries, little stores, and coffee shops. I also appreciate the way my damage deposit was returned within 1 day of checkout.

I had a very pleasant stay and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the location was excellent. Stefano was a welcoming, responsive, and attentive host who made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I would gladly recommend this property to other travelers and would be happy to stay here again in the future. Thank you, Stefano, for your hospitality!

I booked a room through Booking.com well in advance of reunion weekend. A few weeks later Michie House canceled my room for a fabricated reason (said no credit card on file even though I called to confirm the card was on file) - to secure the room they said I would need to pay over 3x the amount it was initially reserved for. Booking.com says they are investigating them for a scam. They shouldn’t be able to cancel standing reservations to try to profit from surge pricing. Unreal!
