St. Pauli Queertour – 100 Years of Pride on St. Pauli
About the event
For many decades, St. Pauli was Hamburg's unconventional suburb, a harbor and entertainment district. The LGBTQI+ community also felt welcome here. This walking tour covers the persecution of the queer community during the times when Paragraph 175 was still in effect, as well as the creative loopholes and meeting places the community established. We look at queer nightlife culture from the last hundred years to today and stop for a drink in the oldest gay bar in Hamburg.
