About the event

This Saturday, October 24th at 5:30 we’re excited and honored to support the House of Givenchy as they screen Paris is Burning followed by a discussion at Flora Rochester. If you haven’t seen this seminal documentary about ball culture in NYC, I highly recommend it! Rochester is incredibly lucky to have such a strong ball scene locally.

About the venue

Flora is a queer nightclub at 190 Monroe Avenue in Rochester, opened in late 2025. It was set up as an openly LGBTQ+ space at a time when the city had lost several older gay bars, and the programme leans towards dancing: DJ nights, drag and live performance…

“Megan is the best bartender! Thanks for everything” — Matthew Weyl, Google
“Spacious inside with a lot of seating. The Bloom with mezcal was exquisite and pretty fairly priced ($11) for a chic hangout like this. Trivia on Wednesdays!” — Maggie Manzella, Google
