Les Etangs d'Apigne

Les Etangs d'Apigné are a set of former gravel-pit lakes on the western edge of Rennes, used by locals for walking, swimming and picnics. The wooded paths and car parks around them are listed in cruising guides as an outdoor meeting spot for men, mostly during the day and into the evening. We have not confirmed current activity, so treat it as unverified. It is a public leisure area with families around in summer, so keep things discreet and away from the paths. French public-indecency law applies to outdoor sex. Go with care, keep valuables in the car out of sight, and let someone know where you are.
