About this place ISKIS, Centre LGBTI Rennes

Iskis – Centre LGBTI+ de Rennes is the main LGBTQ+ community centre for the Breton capital. Founded in 2001 (originally as the Centre Gay et Lesbien) and based since 2018 in the Parc des Tanneurs at 6 rue Saint-Martin, Iskis is the beating heart of Rennes's queer community. It hosts weekly drop-in sessions (permanences), discussion and support groups, cultural events, legal and administrative help, HIV-prevention work and school-awareness programmes, and provides a home base for other local LGBTI+ associations. The centre has held a multi-year partnership with the City of Rennes since 2010. Crucially for visitors, Iskis is also the organiser of the city's Marche des Fiertes (Pride march). It is the first place to turn for up-to-date information on events, groups and community life in Rennes.

Honestly, the atmosphere is... INCREDIBLE. We're really well received and we feel so safe. As a trans woman, I immediately felt comfortable, and Iskis has truly changed my social life, even though I'm naturally very shy. Thanks again to everyone ❤️ (we're not cisphobic, it was just some frustrated guy whining, as usual)

Hello, how are you everyone? ☺️ I'm a Canadian citizen and I'm looking for a safe place to interact and meet new friends in Rennes as I plan to move there soon. 😊 I truly love Rennes and would like some guidance. I can't wait to meet anyone from my wonderful LGBTQIA+ community so we can share our experiences and support each other. Hugs and kisses, my darlings. Why are you targeting a political party, which you mention? Regarding the vandalism you've experienced, do you have any proof? If so, then it should be condemned. If not, review your comments in the press and your statements. I await your response, please.
