Tomorrow
100 Coming-outs
About the event
October 11th is International Coming Out Day! We are celebrating this as anyway with an event: '100 Coming-outs'. We will set up 200 chairs on Roncalliplatz. 📍 1 PM in front of Cologne Cathedral on Roncalliplatz! 🌈 Come by. Whether you are young or old. Whether you want to hear coming-out stories or want to tell one yourself. ❓How does the chair system work? 100 chairs are reserved for queer people to tell their stories. Then, another person sits on one of the 100 empty chairs in front of them and listens to your story. You don't know each other beforehand. It's like speed dating. And just like there, there is a time limit. Each slot lasts 5 minutes. This means you have 5 minutes to tell your story. Afterward, another person sits in front of you and hears your story for the first time. 🧡 Can I tell my own coming-out story? Yes! It doesn't matter how old you are. All coming-out stories are exciting, those from today just as much as those from 60 years ago! If you would like to tell your coming-out story, it helps us immensely with planning if you let us know in advance. Simply send a DM or an email to mitmischen@anyway-koeln.
