About this place A1 Hostel Nuremberg

A1 Hostel Nuremberg is a budget hostel in Neuselsbrunn, south-east of central Nuremberg near the Messe trade fair grounds, now marketed under the 12sleep brand. It's a mainstream hostel listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. Rooms are functional, with free Wi-Fi, shared kitchens and TV lounges, and reviews are mixed (3.7 from about 600). It's mostly used by trade-fair visitors and budget travellers with a car. Prices rise sharply during big fairs. The old town is roughly 15 to 20 minutes by public transport, and that's where Nuremberg's small cluster of gay bars is.

An excellent hotel close to the metro and historical sites. The renovations aren't the most modern, but it's very well-kept and neat, clearly well-maintained. I highly recommend it.

The room itself is perfectly fine for a stopover. However, don't expect peace and quiet here. The rooms are extremely noisy, and you can hear every word from the hallway. This is even more problematic when several people are in the common room or hallway.
