The Roundy

The Roundy takes its name from its curved corner frontage at 1 Castle Street in Cork city centre. It works as a café-bar by day and a bar with gigs, DJ sets and comedy at night. It is a gay-friendly mainstream bar, not a gay bar, but it regularly hosts LGBTQ+ nights, drag and events with local queer collectives, which keeps it on the city's queer calendar. The crowd is mixed and the room is small, so event nights fill fast. Castle Street is a couple of minutes from Patrick Street and the main city-centre bars, which makes it easy to fit into a night out.
