ŠIŠKA OPEN 2026 I Urbano nabiralništvo
nabiralniški sprehod po šišenskih zelenicah

Užitne ter zdravilne rastline ne rastejo samo v neobljudenem gozdu, ampak si z nami delijo mesta. Srečamo jih lahko pod skoraj vsakim korakom – na pločniku, ob cestah, na mestnih zelenicah. V mali skupini se bomo odpravili na sprehod v neposredni bližini Kina Šiška in skupaj odkrivali pestrost in biodiverziteto mestnih zelenic in dreves, ki na prvi pogled morda ne delujejo tako bogate, kot v resnici so. V primeru dežja prinesite dežnik, škornje in pelerino. Predlagamo, da prinesete tudi zvezek, v katerega si boste vpisovali imena rastlin ter njihovih najpomembnejših lastnosti.

Gaja Pegan Nahtigal (1996) je nabiralka, izobraževalka in transdisciplinarna oblikovalka iz Ljubljane. Leta 2023 je diplomirala na Design Academy Eindhoven (NL), kjer se je posvečala socialnemu oblikovanju, ekologiji in pomenu raznolike urbane narave; temam, ki ostajajo v središču njene prakse. Navdih črpa iz naravnega sveta, njegovih ciklov rasti in razpada, trdoživih “plevelov” ter spontanih urbanih ekosistemov. V svoji praksi From Gaja se posveča nabiralništvu s posebnim fokusom na etnobotaniki, kulinariki in samoniklih urbanih rastlinah.

foraging walk across Šiška’s green spaces
Edible and medicinal plants don’t only grow in uninhabited forests – they share our cities. We can encounter them at almost every step – on pavements, by roadsides, and on urban lawns. In a small group, we’ll set off on a walk in the immediate vicinity of Kino Šiška and together discover the variety and biodiversity of urban green spaces and trees, which at first glance might not seem as rich as they actually are. In the event of rain, please bring an umbrella, waterproof footwear, and a raincoat. We also suggest bringing a notebook to write down the names of the plants and their most important characteristics.

Gaja Pegan Nahtigal (1996) is a forager, educator, and transdisciplinary designer from Ljubljana. In 2023, she graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL), where she focused on social design, ecology, and the importance of diverse urban nature – themes that remain at the heart of her work. She draws inspiration from the natural world, its cycles of growth and decay, resilient “weeds”, and spontaneous urban ecosystems. As From Gaja, she dedicates herself to foraging with a particular focus on ethnobotany, culinary arts, and wild urban plants.
