La Troya at Amnesia

La Troya is one of the most celebrated gay party nights in the world — a weekly event at Amnesia, the superclub on the road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio, that has been running since the mid-1990s and has never lost its position as the centrepiece of the Ibiza gay summer season. The event was created by drag artist and producer La Troya Asesina and has maintained its distinctive aesthetic — theatrical, operatic, sexually charged, and relentlessly spectacular — through three decades of Ibiza nightlife evolution. The Amnesia setting is essential to the event: the club, one of the world's most famous superclubs, provides a space of genuine scale with its iconic open-air terrace, main room, and production values that match the ambitions of the night. La Troya's cast of drag performers, go-go dancers, and guest artists populate the rooms and the staging throughout the night, creating an environment where the line between audience and performance is deliberately blurred. The crowd is the full range of the circuit-party international: well-travelled gay men from across Europe and the Americas who have put La Troya on their summer itinerary. The season runs from approximately May through September; the peak weeks in July and August sell out well in advance. Tickets should be purchased online before arrival; showing up at the door on a peak night is unreliable.
