What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the venue's strong Beatles theme and decor, with many finding the food and drinks reasonably priced. However, a common complaint is inconsistent opening hours, with some finding the venue closed despite website information suggesting it should be open. Noise from nearby venues and issues with room maintenance are also mentioned.

My wife and I had a wonderful couple’s stay at the Hard Days Night Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt full of character — beautifully themed, stylish, and carrying that unmistakable Liverpool charm that makes a getaway feel special. A big thank‑you to the team for the room upgrade. It was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay feel even more memorable. The room itself was elegant, comfortable, and ideal for relaxing together after exploring the city. The location is unbeatable — right on Mathew Street, with all the music history, bars, and atmosphere just steps away. We loved being able to dip into the energy of the area and then return to the calm, cosy feel of the hotel whenever we wanted quiet time as a couple. Staff were warm, friendly, and made everything smooth from check‑in to check‑out. For couples visiting Liverpool who want comfort, personality, and a brilliant central location, the Hard Days Night Hotel is an excellent choice.

Unprecedented heatwave while there, and many rooms had malfunctioning AC. It exists on the property, just not working in a lot of the rooms. After waiting 30 minutes for the AC to engage as instructed by staff, I called from my 32 degree stuffy room to inquire. Waited, roasting, 20 minutes for Maintenance to come in and tell me it wasn’t working. He offered a fan. My corner room had 4 sets of windows in full sun (that opened only a crack) and I was getting nauseous sitting in that stifling heat. Tried calling reception to get moved: no answer. Trudged down in person, dragging my luggage: no one at reception. Met some other guests in the lobby with the same issue. Over the next two hours, a room vacated because the AC wouldn’t turn off and was igloo-like was offered. I took it and wore a sweater! This hotel caters to large tour group operators, and knows they have a captive audience. Those travelers are relegated to the worst rooms. If enough travelers with these companies complain and travel with another operator, maybe service will improve - or they’ll lose their contract. Breakfast was good, location was good - but if you can’t provide a habitable room, what’s the point?
