Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel

Definitely not a satisfactory stay. The room did not have air conditioning and only a small fan was provided, which was insufficient in Summer. In addition, the hairdryer supplied was a very small travel-sized model. It is uncommon for a 4-star hotel to provide such basic amenities, and overall the facilities did not meet the standard I would expect from a hotel of this rating. The shower took an unreasonably long time for the water temperature to adjust, whether increasing or decreasing the heat. This made showering unnecessarily frustrating and added to the overall poor experience. Should have just chosen an international hotel chain with a lower star rating.

Hotel is in a great location. We were going for a show at the O2 City Hall and it was a 12 minute easy walk away. Theres also loads of restaurants and other activities a quick walk away. Staff at the hotel are lovely and will help you quickly, no complaints there. Feel like for such a modern hotel the rooms feel a little in need of TLC. We were in an executive suite but things like the sockets not matching, the paint peeling, the kitchen have only one of each wine glass just took the shine off it. The breakfast wasnt worth the money for me, no decent coffee (just an urn) the food felt less than fresh when we came down, so the second day we had breakfast out. Overall a comfy stay, perfect location. Just felt from the loveliness of the staff and the foyer the rooms could feel more polished and the breakfast more luxury!

Staff are friendly and welcoming, very helpful if your new to the place. Room are cozy and genrally clean. The self serve breakfast is also lovely and the noise is a bare miminial Also didnt notice on my stay so not sure if it new or i just didnt notice but love they add little bags for women period products for the bin, makes it seem so much more cleaner.
