The Psalter
Visitors frequently praise the delicious food, particularly Sunday lunch and dishes like pork cheek and duck, along with the attentive and helpful staff who go out of their way. However, some guests found the rooms basic with uncomfortable beds, and one reviewer experienced slow service at breakfast and early closing times at the bar.

We had my Mum's 80th on Saturday from start to finish the whole team could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The food was delicious we choose the cold buffet and everyone commented how nice different and tasty it was The room was perfect and we were able to add our own decorations too. As I mixed age range from 7 to 80+ everyone had a fantastic time Thank you from the daughter with the mum who doesn't act look she is 80! Would highly recommend x
Visited here today with my family for Sunday dinner and it was absolutely brilliant. The starter of pea soup was so tasty and the pork belly Sunday dinner was off the scale. Everything was cooked to perfection and I would strongly recommend a visit! Will be back very soon!
Only slight downside was the room was noisy at night being on a busy road and we needed the window open as hot and no air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent!
We tried The Psalter tasting menu in February and loved it so much we decided to book our wedding reception there. The food was superb! Our guests, who included vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free diets were all equally delighted with the delicious meal. The staff were friendly, efficient and eager to help. The entire event, from the glorious 'snacks' (delicate bite-sized scrumptious creations) through to the starter, main, and dessert, was all equally impressive. We danced away some of the calories afterwards and had a great time. We strongly recommend dining at the Psalter and also hosting events there. Our wedding reception could not have been better. We, and all of our guests, absolutely loved it. Special thanks to Hayley Jacobson for her organisational flair and excellent communication, and to Tom Lawson and his kitchen team for their culinary expertise and wonderful presentation. We stayed in the lovely Chelsea Suite, which was spacious and comfortable, and had a fantastic breakfast the next day.
We had our wedding at the Psalter last week! It was absolutely fantastic. The wedding breakfast and evening buffet were a particular highlight, the food was of the highest quality. Thank you to Iona, Tom, Katie and all the team! Would highly recommend the Psalter for anyone wanting to get married in Sheffield!
Been twice for the tasting menu and dinner menu both excellent. So good we went back.
