Centre website, scroll to the bottom to book.**

Queer Theatre Makers in a relaxed workshop focused on exploring LGBTQ+
identites and individuals lived experiences.

**What to expect**

Through a mixture of free writing and devising exercises, participants
will be able to safely explore and collaborate with others to create
small scenes or theatrical ideas to do with their own identities.

Free writing means writing from impulse, exploring what comes to you
freely through small prompts and ideas. (For example, the prompt ‘queer
joy’ would lead to 5 minutes of writing down anything that came to mind
relating to that prompt). This is an exercise to see what participants
feel in relation to certain topics or ideas without self filtering or
overthinking, and is a great way to share the different interpretations
of the prompt with the group.

There will also be small group exercises, creating short theatrical
scenes/interactions based on queer experiences or stories.

The purpose of the group is to explore identity through performance and
collaboration but also to show the incredibly vast nature of the queer
experience and each individual's relationship to it

This workshop is open to anyone, regardless of theatrical experience.
The exercises are accessible for beginners and you can opt out of
sharing your work with zero judgement or question!
