About This Event
gCircuit Songkran is Bangkok's big gay circuit-party weekend, timed to Songkran, the Thai New Year water festival in mid-April. It was founded by Sumet "Oui" Srimuang and Tom Tan, and 2026 was billed as its 20th anniversary. The appeal is the combination: night parties with international DJs, daytime pool parties, and the city's three-day water fight going on outside. The organizers say guests come from more than 50 countries.
It's a ticketed series of parties over four days, sold one by one or as passes. Since 2024 the main nights have been at UOB Live in EmSphere, the newer mall and entertainment complex on Sukhumvit at Phrom Phong, with pool parties at Tribe Sky Beach Club. The 2026 programme had six parties and nine DJs, and tickets started at 2,900 baht. Passes and the hotels near EmSphere sell out, so book both early.
Songkran changes how Bangkok works for a few days. Many shops and offices close, you will get soaked on any street, and taxis are hard to find. Carry your phone in a waterproof pouch and use the BTS Skytrain, which stops at Phrom Phong. Outside the paid parties, the water fights on Silom Road and the bars of Silom Soi 4 are free and busy all through Songkran, so you can do gCircuit on one night and the street on another.
The 2026 edition ran from 10 to 13 April 2026 under the theme "Adro Mada – City of Tomorrow." The organizers haven't published an attendance figure. The large numbers on travel sites have no source, so we've left that field empty. The 2027 dates hadn't been officially announced when we checked; expect the long weekend around 13 April.
