Hostel Casa Bucanaan

DON'T GO THERE IF YOU DON'T WANT A BAD EXPERIENCE! We had booked a room for three adults for one night, and upon arrival, the manager told us it wasn't possible and that we would have to pay extra. Exhausted from our trip, we agreed. Then, with his permission, we left our bags in a small corner for the day, but that was already a problem. Late in the afternoon, we came to get the room. Everything was fine except for the appalling cleanliness and the shower! There was no hot water, and water was running all over the room. Everything was flooded. Finally, we left our bags again, once more with his permission, for the day and came back to get them in the evening. Being sick, I took the liberty of using their toilet. Once I came out, the manager very aggressively told me I had to pay an extra $20/30,000 pesos for cleaning the toilet (even though the night cost 25,000 pesos per person)?! Everything was spotless, even cleaner than before. Because I was very ill, I had to accept, taking advantage of my vulnerability once again. There are so many better hostels in Córdoba, don't ruin your experience of this great city by staying in this hostel!

WARNING: SCAM! The owner is very unpleasant and may yell at you! As other reviews mention, the owner demands more money upon arrival and makes up excuses! He gave us a very poor welcome when we arrived to drop off our bags at 9:00 AM and changed our check-in time by two hours! The bathroom in the private room is unusable after someone has showered; water goes everywhere! The breakfast was very poor. The beds in the private room don't allow for any legroom, and there is no storage space!

A very bad experience; it's nothing like what's shown in the photos. It's under construction and very poorly laid out. Upon arrival, the owner asked us to pay extra, almost double what we had already paid, because he had to change our room, claiming we had paid for the wrong one, even though everything was in order on Booking.com. The hostel also charged us an extra €18 even though we only left our bags there for the day before leaving. There's no storage space, and it's impossible to sit up on the bunk beds—there are more than enough. The breakfast is mediocre for the price. The showers are in a deplorable state and often have no hot water or locks. In our room, the shower tray wouldn't drain, flooding the bathroom. We didn't even have a squeegee. There's a shared bathroom for the entire hostel; it's 4 square meters and has a shower without a tray and the only toilet. There's no microwave, and the kitchen is poorly equipped. The owner is rude and unfriendly.

Excellent service, very nice, the mattresses are in excellent condition, you sleep very well, the reception staff is unbeatable, they serve a delicious breakfast, and Naty is very friendly. Everything is clean, the bathroom is spotless, the showers are state-of-the-art, everything is very satisfactory, a great experience, I highly recommend it.

Excellent service and a beautiful place

Beautiful, clean, green spaces. I was unlucky enough to get a room (room 4, with a private bathroom) where it rained just as much outside as inside. It's worth noting that I received a full refund. However, I couldn't sleep, and the way I dealt with my complaints wasn't very kind. The truth is, I've always stayed at hostels with good reviews and paid the price that corresponds to good service and decent treatment, which wasn't the case. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Excellent service from Delfina, Facundo, Natalie... the entire staff. Very friendly and helpful. The pool area is very comfortable, clean, and perfect for relaxing after a day of sports. Thank you.

A truly comfortable and pleasant space; the rooms are always kept very well maintained and clean, the layout is very comfortable, and the location is ideal.
