El Misti Hostel Rio - Copacabana

The rooms are spacious, but the bathrooms are filthy. There's no soap to wash your hands, and no toilet paper either; you have to ask several times before they put it out. They clean very little, and only superficially. I saw very little cleaning done inside the rooms. The bathroom walls are covered in mold; they only clean the floors, and that's about it. In two days, I saw them clean the bathroom in my room only once. They never cleaned the walls. The people are dirty! The staff at the entrance are friendly, but that's not enough!

Everyone is super friendly! The staff are incredibly attentive and fun. The location is in a very strategic spot in Copacabana, close to everything.

Wonderful hostel with lots of friendly young people who are always ready to help. The hostel is perfectly located next to a metro station, a supermarket, and the beach. The rooms are perfectly fine for the price. The kitchen isn't the cleanest, but having the option to cook is still great. I had a very nice stay in Rio! 👍

Very well located, the staff's attention leaves much to be desired but overall it's okay.

I have visited 4 other hostels in Rio before I get to El Misti hostel in Copacabana. The atmosphere was terrific! I am traveling solo so I wanted to find a hostel where I can meet people and do activities. Special thanks to João who has been a great help and such a positive person with his energy. He was the main reason that my friends and I went back to the same hostel when we visited Rio again.

I loved it, I'll be back whenever possible! Great service, great facilities...
