About this place Club Pittsburgh

Club Pittsburgh is a gay sauna located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, right on Penn Avenue. As a members-focused venue, it provides a private, comfortable environment where adult men can relax and socialize in a low-pressure atmosphere. The sauna category of LGBTQ+ venues has long been a welcoming space for gay and bisexual men seeking discretion, wellness facilities, and the opportunity to meet others in a laid-back setting. What makes gay saunas appealing to many travelers is their straightforward vibe—there's no need to dress up or perform for a night out. Visitors can expect clean facilities, steam and sauna amenities, and a judgment-free social space. These venues tend to attract a mix of locals and travelers looking for a more relaxed alternative to bars or clubs, particularly those who appreciate the spa-like experience. Pittsburgh's gay scene offers several options for nightlife and community spaces, and a sauna venue adds another dimension to the city's LGBTQ+ landscape. Club Pittsburgh is situated in a central location, making it convenient to access whether you're staying downtown or exploring the surrounding neighborhoods. If you're interested in visiting, check their website at https://clubpittsburgh.myshopify.com/ for membership details, hours, and any specific entry information. As always, it's a good idea to reach out directly if you have questions about visiting as a first-timer or guest.

They don't do a good enough job at keeping out alleged predators.

This place is getting crappy with their events line up... All events are during the week... I been going there since I was in college but the club lost its touch over the many years.... Staff is constantly changing though. Events were way better crouds ok and sometimes packed. But I went from going there every week to once a year.

Exclusion is the name of the game at Club Pittsburgh. If you are even remotely androgenous, don't expect to get in without passing the gender assumer at the front desk. The front desk's questions clearly implied their pre- and mis- conceptions.

Wish I could say I got my $35 worth, but sadly I can’t. Ageism and attitude are the two words that come to mind. I’m a good looking 64 gay white man, in ok shape, that usually gets some action at my local gay sauna (Steamworks in Chicago). Not at Club Pittsburgh. I stayed nearly two hours, enduring rejection after rejection. And most of the guys weren’t that hot! So guys unless you’re under 35, stay away from this place. Not worth your time.

I had a really bad experience. If I’m not interested in someone, I won’t be pressured into it. The staff didn’t offer any assistance. I also feel unsafe here.

Not a safe space. They don’t respond to phone calls or emails if you have questions. We literally booked an entire vacation to Pittsburgh based on the fact that they allow women in. Tried to verify. No response. Just another space that’s made for men. I’m just so tired of misogyny in queer “safe” places.
