Why bother paying for a room when the staff will just let you sleep in the lobby with the other homeless people?

A few minutes away from Princeton University. Good place to lodge in during Reunions.

New, clean, well designed, and my room was quiet. My stay was during the school holidays and the hotel was full of families along with associated chaos so breakfast room was a bit full later in breakfast but quiet earlier. Great staff. Only small issue is that front of hotel is on other side from street entrance which can confuse car services etc. Overall a very comfortable place to stay.

Despite calling and asking ahead of time, the hotel wouldn't help accomodate an early check in. They told us to call when we landed, which gave us some hope. Our red eye flight got it to the hotel around 7:30am. We were traveling as part of a Princeton University program for graduation ceremonies. Those began on campus before we checked in. We were so tired and kept falling asleep in the lobby, waiting for when we had to leave for the first ceremony which started before regular check in time. They let us leave our luggage so we weren't carrying that all over campus. We had several events that day and didn't get back to the hotel until after midnight, a very late check in instead. We just needed a place to nap for a bit, even if it wasn't our room. I'm sure the company doesn't want their guests arriving, seeing other guests using their lobby as a sleeping area. Due to the lack of accommodations, we kept falling asleep during the ceremonies we were flown in to attend. We were also denied a late check out, which we needed, as check out was during the commencement ceremony. We had to be up earlier and checked out before 7am to be able to be on campus on time. We called ahead a few times to request accessibility accommodations, and specifically asked for a handheld shower. We were assured the room would have one. We asked if it had different spray settings, stressing this was very important for us. They couldn't give a clear answer but would have someone check. I asked them to also find out at the same time if there was a pulse center stream setting. They called back to say it was a removable handheld shower, but they forgot to check about the settings. I told them if they couldn't assure us of accommodations regarding the settings, we would need to bring our own to install and use. They said this was fine and they would have their maintenance install it. (This wasn't an option because of how late we checked in, so we did it ourselves.) When we finally got into our room, we were dismayed to learn that their only accommodation was a chair-like attachment to the tub which we didn't specifically need, and that the shower head was fixed, not even a handheld! And their shower head was installed incorrectly and leaked and sprayed out of the attachment area. The first thing we did was change it out and then take showers. Also, the toilet didn't flush completely unless we held the handle down and flushed more than once. This wasn't due to being clogged. At one point, we had to open the tank to adjust it so it would fill and not keep running. We didn't contact the front desk because we NEEDED to sleep, not wait for them to figure out how to make the toilet more usable.

please do NOT keep knocking on my door 8am in the morning for “housekeeping”. People need a bit more sleep sometimes.

My son and I made first visit to New Jersey and stayed at this hotel on the fourth floor. Management needs to address this one problem -- there was a foul smell, almost like a sewage, interrupting my stay. Not a good experience
