Join us for special edition of GAZE x Outhouse Queer Film Club : a spooky double feature of Scream (1996) and The Craft (1996).

Welcome back to the GAZE x Outhouse: Queer Film Club! This Halloween, we’re getting cosy for a pyjama-party double feature of two iconic camp horror classics from 1996: The Craft and Scream.
First up, The Craft (1996), the cult supernatural teen horror where four outcast friends discover that there’s a lot more to friendship, magic, and getting even than meets the eye. Then, after a short 10-minute intermission, we’ll turn up the suspense with Scream (1996), the genre-defining slasher that gave horror a knowing, queer-adjacent wink while keeping audiences guessing: who’s behind the mask?
And what better way to watch them than as a big Halloween pyjama party? Get comfy, grab some snacks, settle in on the floor, and enjoy two great films in good company. Come dressed in your comfiest clothes, wear your pyjamas or sweats, and bring along your favourite pillow and blanket. We strongly encourage you to BYOP (bring your own pillow) so you can get cosy on the floor!
Whether you’re a lifelong horror fan, a Scream obsessive, a Craft witch, or just looking for a cosy and campy way to spend your Halloween season, come join us in the Outhouse Library for a night of queer horror, nostalgia, and good company.
Snag your spot and make the most of the experience by picking up snacks at the Outhouse Café beforehand. We’ll also be selling some tasty treats in the room!
