Hidden Histories at U of T
About the event

What stories are hidden in the walls of the University of Toronto?
Explore the fascinating architecture of the University of Toronto. From the adaption of 19th-century homes to innovative modern design, discover how form has driven function on campus.
This tour centers on one of the city’s most iconic and oldest university campuses, where Gothic towers, repurposed homes, and striking modern buildings reveal nearly two centuries of change. From Philosopher’s Walk and Soldiers’ Tower to the bold geometry of Robarts Library, on this walk you’ll learn how architecture reflects evolving ideas about education, memory, community, and public life.
This tour was developed and will be led by Heritage Toronto volunteer Doug Wooster. An educator and a photographer, Doug is interested in Toronto history, architecture, green spaces and people.
