MIX CPH Panel with screening of 'Trans People Belong In Sports
About the event
⚽ Join us for a panel where we reflect on how trans people belong in sport ⚽
After watching the short film programme 'Trans People Belong in Sports', we will discuss the issues and exclusions trans people face in sports, but also the communities that form when people come together to create spaces for them to belong.
🎬 About short film programme:
At a time when so many in our society are fighting to exclude trans people from sport altogether, this programme follows those who have chosen to create the spaces they were denied. Existing openly in athletic spaces is an act of defiance in itself. But it is also about joy. It is the joy of belonging somewhere that was built by and for you. While trans bodies are being scrutinised, criticised, and policed more than ever, these two films say loud and clear: trans people belong in sports!
