Boutique Hotel Berial Düsseldorf

The location was quite central, but the rooms were small. It was disappointing that there was no water or slippers in the rooms. The price was above average. Revision 1: Regarding the hotel review, I asked about slippers at reception, but they said they didn't provide them and told me to buy them from the market. I have the receipt for that. I also paid for the free water at reception, and I have the receipt for that as well.

I've been a guest at the Berial for many years now. Initially for business, but now also frequently for pleasure. In addition to the prime location—a short walk through the park and you're on Königsallee—the service and offerings are constantly evolving. I can't get better coffee anywhere, even at breakfast in a 5-star hotel.

Very nice hotel, very friendly and attentive service. The room was clean and well-furnished. If we are ever in Düsseldorf again, we will book this hotel again.

Hmmmm, the rooms seem to have shrunk. We'd stayed here before and chose it again because it was so great. The rooms are tiny, the bathroom is just okay. Totally disappointed, we were so excited. A dwarf room with a double bed and an outdated bathroom. No refrigerator, no kettle, no glasses. Almost €400 for two nights and then you get a shoebox. I guess this has to be chalked up to experience. When I arrived Friday evening and gave my name, instead of a hello or good evening, I was told I hadn't paid. I had to pay first, and then we could proceed... During the phone call with a super nice lady, this wasn't communicated that way; payment is usually made upon departure. She also told me I had to speak English because she doesn't speak German well. Right! I hadn't booked with breakfast, but she said that's just how it is now, period. Right! She asked in a commanding tone if I had checked in online, which I hadn't. She told me I had to do that first, and nothing would happen until then. I was carrying a lot of luggage and asked if she could please do it, but no…that wasn't possible, and she emphasized again that I would have to speak English because her German wasn't good. She finally printed it out in 20 seconds, and doing it online would have taken far too long at that point because there were other people there too. She rolled her eyes. She then called a colleague via FaceTime to cancel the breakfast. It all went very badly, and our first visit, which had been so wonderful, was a world apart.

I am very satisfied with my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and fresh, and the breakfast was really good. For the price, the hotel is truly excellent. I can warmly recommend this hotel to others who want to stay comfortably at a reasonable price

The hotel is quite oldish, but this is visible in the photos. I got a room at the top floor. It was with slanted ceilings, under the roof. The wallpaper in the bathroom was half peeled off due to humidity and slanted roof geometry. I didn't notice it at first so I didn't flag it with reception upon arrival but did mention upon check-out. The room and especially bathroom smelled very moist (maybe a plumbing issue) - which was quite unpleasant. Not sure if this was just this room or an overall problem. As the booking was during Euroshop, the price was quite inflated. (280€/night). Because of this I think it's important the room is at the very least not presenting any major flaws. The breakfast buffet had much to offer and the staff seemed nice. The location is nice and central.

Perfect location - very warm welcome from Celina - excellent breakfast. The room was small but very functional.
