At 19:30, we will show our opening film ‘Elephants in the Fog’ by Abinash Bikram Shah. 🎬🍿
About the film:
In a village deep in a forest inhabited by wild ele- phants, Pirati leads a house of Kinnar women, an ancient third-gender community, both revered and feared for their believed power to bless or curse. Pirati dreams of escaping with the man she loves, but when one of her daughters disappears, she is forced to investigate, and choose between love and her responsibility to her community.
After the film, we invite you to stay for a free drink and our steamy opening after-party.
Our first DJ of the night tjiquita combines club edits, breakbeat and pop music with a broad spectrum of Latin genres from reggaeton to technocumbia. Her sets are a love letter to Latin America and include rave tracks, homegrown mashups, basy latincore and all kinds of neo perreo.
__ellyellyelly__ is a Copenhagen-based trans Palestinian DJ and multidisciplinary artist operating somewhere between transsexualism, desire, and her bag.
Her sound moves through deconstructed club, sexy techno, dembow and heavy percussive rhythms drawn from across Southwest Asia, North Africa and their diasporas.
Equal parts dollcore and sonic disruption, her sets blur the lines between sensuality, distortion and whole lot of cunt.
