GO FILM - Goiânia Film Festival

The GO Film Goiânia Film Festival is a competitive event dedicated to showcasing short films produced in the heart of Brazil. Now in its 6th edition, the festival offers awards in various categories, including special prizes for 24-hour short films. This unique challenge encourages filmmakers to create a short film within a 24-hour timeframe, fostering creativity and rapid production skills.

The festival accepts short films in fiction, documentary, and experimental categories, with a special focus on films completed after 2025. It also includes a non-competitive selection for short films up to 25 minutes. The GOFILM festival is a partnership between Gaia, Portugal, and Goiânia, Brazil, aiming to promote an exchange of Portuguese language and culture with international impact.

Attendees can expect to see innovative and diverse short films, with opportunities to engage with filmmakers and learn about the creative process. The festival aims to provide a platform for independent cinema and connect audiences with new cinematic voices. Selected films may also be screened in other theaters within the Lumière network and at the Gaia24 Short Film Festival in Portugal.
