Norfolk Motel
Some visitors found the staff friendly and the rooms clean, offering good value for money and convenient highway access. However, a recurring complaint is that the motel is run down, with issues like smoke smell in non-smoking rooms, cleanliness problems, and dated facilities.

Was very polite I would recommend staying there
Absolutely terrible experience at Norfolk Motel. This was by far one of the worst motel stays we’ve had. The first thing we noticed was the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke in the room, despite the property being advertised as non-smoking. The smell was so strong it made the stay uncomfortable immediately. The condition and cleanliness of the room were unacceptable. The television had some kind of spray paint splattered all over it. There were cobwebs on the outside wall above the door, which gives you an idea of how little attention is paid to maintenance. The mirror was scratched up and covered in some sort of grime or residue that clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been updated in decades, with an outdated green bathtub that felt like stepping back in time—in the worst way. Dust covered parts of the ceiling to the point it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. We were only given two hand towels to wash up, and honestly, one of them looked and felt like it may have already been used before our arrival. To make matters worse, the booking system somehow reserved us into two different rooms during one stay. On the second night, we were moved to a room with only a single bed, even though we specifically booked two double beds. Completely inadequate for our needs. Staff were absolutely no help and made no effort to resolve any of the issues. On top of that, the motel advertises itself as pet friendly, but nowhere during booking was there any clear mention of a pet fee. The moment staff saw our dog, they suddenly came chasing us for extra money. Poor cleanliness, poor maintenance, poor communication, and poor customer service. We will never stay here again and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.
DO NOT EVER, EVER STAY AT THIS MOTEL. It was ABSOLUTLEY disgusting, there was a very long hair in the one bed, and multiple other hairs in both beds. The bedspread was very stained and gross, as was the FILTHY carpet that probably hasn't been changed since 1975. In the washroom there was hair in the sink, and when I opened the shower door there was open, used bottles of hotel shampoo, and open hand soap in the shower. Basically all they did was fix the bed and walk out. We had already paid so we could not get our money back as stated on the receipt. When we checked in the debit machine asked for a TIP!!! Also, asking for a tip for the "housekeeping staff", what a friggin joke. Shortly after checking in I went to speak to the person that checked us in, and he was long gone. WE LEFT, and checked in elsewhere. If I could give zero stars, or negative stars I would. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE.
