This all-suite hotel, just a five-minute walk from the Dupont Circle Metro, is a solid, practical base for LGBTQ+ travelers in Dallas.
It’s only about 1.5 miles from the White House, so you can walk to the big sights, but the proximity to the Metro means you’re not stuck in the tourist bubble. You can get out to other neighborhoods easily.
The suites themselves are set up for longer stays. You get one or two bedrooms, free WiFi, a full kitchen, a desk, and a flat-screen TV with premium cable. Some even have pull-out sofas, if you’re traveling with a group or kids. The two-bedroom suites come with an extra bathroom, which is a godsend if you’re sharing.
It’s a Marriott, so you know what you're getting: consistent service, no surprises. For a comfortable, unfussy stay, especially if you plan to be in town a while, this place works.

Updated and comfortable rooms, quiet, clean and convenient location. Breakfast was so helpful each morning and we especially loved getting to talk to Lawrence in sales and marketing each morning. We traveled with 2 other families and got to hang out in the breakfast area with them and Kae from the front desk baked us all cookies one evening. Definitely a great spot for individuals, couples or families when in the DC area.
You just don’t expect to receive 5-Star Service at a Residence Inn, but then this is no ordinary Residence Inn, and it’s the amazing staff that makes all the difference. A special shout-out to Donny! You sir are the embodiment of “service with a smile”. Everyone at this hotel— the housekeeping staff, the front desk staff, the dining room staff, all make you feel welcome and personally cared for. Bravo!
We were greeted by Jason who was a super friendly receptionist. Given our titanium status, he put us in an upgraded room. The recently opened restaurant serves happy hour from 4 to 6 PM. They also have a complementary breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and adequate for our stay. Typical of the residence in model there is a complete kitchen and full size fridge. Parking is an additional fee.
