Rehoboth Beach Bear Weekend
About This Event
Rehoboth Beach Bear Weekend is a five-day September gathering for bears and their admirers in the Delaware beach town. It is run by the Rehoboth Beach Bears, a volunteer-run nonprofit, and the proceeds pay for college scholarships for LGBTQ+ students in Sussex and Kent counties. The base is the Atlantic Sands Hotel on the boardwalk, and the parties spill over into the bars on Baltimore Avenue. A weekend pass covers the main events, and some of the bar events are open to anyone.
The 2026 edition was billed as the 11th and ran from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 September. Listings showed a welcome reception, a glow party, the Saturday AIDS Walk from the town bandstand and a closing Oktoberfest. We couldn't find an attendance figure. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
