One star for the business idea, which, while technically and personnel-wise optimized over the years, has unfortunately not benefited me as either a host or a guest. The app is no longer available. Ebab can no longer be reached by phone. Emails receive no reference number, no confirmation of receipt, and apparently no response policy specifying how many days guests or hosts are allowed to wait for a reply. Ebab's terms and conditions still advertise with "...B6e. Should you contact our office by phone, we will greet you by your provided name whenever possible. For this personalized call answering, we use the phone number you provided during registration. It is recognized by our system during an incoming call and linked to your user account. We consider this personal greeting an important quality feature of our work..." but the company doesn't even have a phone number. The commission payable to ebab does not include liability or accident insurance coverage for guests or hosts. In my opinion, transparency and fairness should clearly communicate this fact in the terms and conditions.
As a guest, you can't see how the host has rated you. However, transparency and fairness are only guaranteed if the ratings are mutually visible. I've known the agency for many years, and initially, they more or less lived up to their own claim and motto: "Staying with friends." Our last few hosts, however, were more the "cold businesspeople" type, trying to project an image of professionalism without actually living up to it.
The man is standing at the door with a latte. Ron's room in Berlin-Schöneberg - STRO4-2 - was unfortunately very dirty (thick layer of dust under the bed), the surroundings very noisy, but he was still friendly. Best regards, Alex
I strongly advise against it; the cancellation policy is very strict, and you can only contact the landlord after accepting a booking, which means you'll incur 100% cancellation fees if the conditions aren't met. In my case, it was an allergy that prevented me from entering the apartment.
