Casa Don Juan

Casa Don Juan is the accommodation that puts you literally inside the scene: a small guesthouse at Calle Santa Faz 28, running since 1995, with six or seven rooms sitting directly above its own street-level bar in the middle of the gay village. The bar is a village fixture in its own right - open to non-guests from the afternoon until 2am daily, so the people-watching comes to you - and the rooms above are simple, characterful old-town lodgings rather than resort polish. Light sleepers should know exactly what they are booking; everyone else tends to love it. The beach is two minutes downhill, every bar in the village is within a hundred metres, and the whole arrangement costs a fraction of the seafront towers. For a certain kind of Benidorm trip, there is no better address.
