Casa Don Juan

Great little budget hotel in the heart of the Old Town. Rooms are basic but that is reflected in the price and more than made up for by the fantastic location. What makes this hotel stand out however is the amazing staff. Dawn actively encouraged and promoted an all day fun, drinking culture. We spent an entire afternoon there laughing and joking with Dawn and other customers. She has refuted our claims that she must be on commission! Special mention goes out to the Pipe Cleaner on his visit 😂😂 Our room lock broke while we weren't here and both Antonio and Ross were on hand to fix it immediately and help with any issues we had. Great spot to have a cheap drink and people watch in the centre of Benodorm..

The hotel is in a grim state. We were in rooms 2 & 3. Our friends checked out after the 1st night, the smell of faeces from the bathroom drain in room 2 was awful. Room 3: Mouldy ceiling & grout in the shower room. Dirty tiles. Shower head holder held in place with a hair elastic. Chunk of the loo seat missing, exposing the balsa wood. So unhygienic. Location is fabulous and the staff are really great. Apparently, refurbishments will be carried out st some point. In comparison to other hotels in the area at similar prices, the standard of this accommodation is appalling.

Good for old town,friendly staff but rooms terrible

Fantastic venue, rooms are great, amazing value. Honestly one of the nicest places I'v stayed. The bar downstairs run by Dino and carla are just wonderful, so helpful. Thank you guys for a great stay.

The location is unbeatable, but the rooms and bathroom are very small, and it feels cramped. We found a small cockroach in the room. The price is unbeatable, but next time I'll try to spend a little more.

The Staff here are brilliant, young Antonio behind the bar is a good laugh... We had three nights here over Xmas and found the location fantastic.... right in the heart of the old town. Other than drink in the bar, food had to be found at one of the many many restaurants nearby. For breakfast i would highly recommend "Casa Abierta Gastrobar".. turn left out of the hotel then first right.. on the left 50 paces. Full English only 5.90e Evening meals, for a change try... "Sherpa Restaurante Asiática" only 4 minutes away. Ok, now the negative, there is no elevator and the top floor is 63 steps in total.. thats a workout..... so please don't forgot anything. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfy (Foam) but the show / bathroom does need a little maintenance... having to hold the shower head as it wont stay in the upright position.. the door wont close and the sink is inside the bedroom... The fridge in our room had a poor seal that left it permanently defrosting. The noise from the street tends to stop at about 05.00, not from bars etc, but noisy bugger singing and shouting.. all good fun. Parking, the guys will give you an app to use if you wish to park in the blue lined sections in the streets.. 1e per two hours, and you can pay every two hours if you wish, its free from 20:00 until 08:00. We parked in the Mercadona car park costing 21.50e max per day... well lit, cameras everywhere so safer. But this is after all a budget hotel and you must have to member that when deciding if you wish to stay. If you wish to pay nearly 400e per night in one of the bigger 4*/5* hotels, then you just might think again. In all we had a great time there... you will too.

Just returned from casa don quan, Cleaner room staff bar staff work very hard, Hotel needs badly renovating,shower was dreadful sink cracked down centre,kettle a safety hazard, Felt like I was sleeping in a tent in Glastonbury, noise from street till after 5am, hotel is not cheap for budget offerings, not even a bar of soap offered Some may put location over facilities and be too drunk to care, the cleaner works hard to compensate for building, she was really doing her best to keep everywhere in the public areas clean smelling of bleach,
