The black bean burger and fries are great. It's also nice that they offer a variety of dishes, like soups, which are quite affordable. They have all the usual drinks. They have a great cultural program; not just concerts, but also readings, for example. The left-leaning stance is good, and I saw how socially conscious the staff were with marginalized customers who couldn't afford their orders. One young waitress has severe insecurity and takes it out on her customers in the form of arrogance and inattentiveness. I get the impression that she isn't truly left-wing, but rather that she chose this scene because of her insecurity and the opportunity for social belonging it offers. A waiter (perhaps a twin?) gave me the strongest Swiss stare I've experienced in Switzerland so far. He seemed to do this to all customers who didn't clearly live in the neighborhood and weren't visibly part of the left-wing scene. In my opinion, anyone in Switzerland who has to deal with xenophobia would ironically be out of place in Cairo. I haven't experienced it with such intensity in my local neighborhood.
Noise pollution for the entire neighborhood with absolutely no consideration. A place like that should be shut down!
Noise pollution until 5 a.m.!!! I don't understand why this is even allowed.
The ultimate alternative and stylish place - you always feel at home when you go to Kairo!
