Reading Pride (Charity)

Reading Pride is the registered charity behind the town's annual Pride festival, first held in 2004 and organised each year on the first Saturday of September. The free one-day event takes place on Kings Meadow beside the Thames, opened by the Love Unites parade that sets off from outside Reading station. Beyond the festival itself, the charity works year-round on LGBTQ+ visibility, community outreach and fundraising across Reading and the Thames Valley, and it is the main organising body for LGBTQ+ celebration in the town.
