About this place Scot's

Scot's is a gay bar on West Montrose Avenue in Chicago, a quiet spot if you're not in the mood for the city's bigger clubs. You can actually talk here. Play some darts, pick songs on the jukebox. They're known for strong martinis, and it pulls a regular crowd of locals. They're not looking for a high-energy scene, just a neighborhood place to hang out. It's a real bar, and easy to get to. Stop in after work, or later in the evening. You'll find a relaxed vibe, where regulars and new faces mix without much fuss. Chicago's gay scene has everything from dance clubs to dive bars, and Scot's hits a good middle ground: casual, unpretentious, but still a solid spot with a sense of community. If you want a real neighborhood bar—not a tourist trap—Scot's is it. Good drinks, friendly people, a place to just be yourself. It's the kind of spot that makes Chicago's LGBTQ+ scene what it is: local, real, and truly welcoming.

My local. 😘😘😘 I love this bar and all its bartenders, especially the wonderful Adam. They have a lot of different events and parties, like a Pyjama Party brunch with a fabulous (and gratis!!!) omelette bar every New Year Day, and a cookout (they open up the back lot and set up a grill) after the annual LGBT+ Pride Parade. These really give Scot's a "community" vibe... This bar feels like home, and not just because I'm a regular. My first night after moving to Chicago, we came here to celebrate, and I said "this is like a better version of my local back home!" and I am pleased to report that this impression has only become stronger the longer I have been here.

Racist Chris on Mondays will totally ignore you if you're not Irish white with a beard. Total prick
