About this place G-Star Pavillion

G-Star Pavillion, on Pracha Uthit Road, is a gay bar known for its indie live music and a crowd that’s a real mix of local Thais and travelers.

Bangkok's gay bar scene runs the gamut, from dance clubs to places you can actually have a conversation. Most welcome international guests, and many have regular live music or performances. Places like G-Star are generally casual and easygoing, good whether you're alone, with friends, or hoping to meet someone.

The focus on indie music gives G-Star a different feel than the city’s big dance clubs. It’s a local favorite, so you get a more authentic slice of Bangkok's LGBTQ+ social life. The location and the mixed crowd make it an easy, unpretentious spot for a night out, especially if you want to skip the formality of bigger clubs.
